Strength in Diversity, Unity in Purpose

It is with immense pride and heartfelt pleasure that I welcome you to the First South Asian American Unity Parade in New York City.

The United States stands as a beacon of freedom, democracy, equality, diversity, and opportunity. As proud South Asian Americans, we are honored to call this great nation our home—where people from every culture are encouraged to celebrate their heritage while contributing to the growth, prosperity, and vibrant multicultural spirit of America.

While inspired by the rich heritage of the Bangladeshi American community, our vision extends to embrace the diverse cultures, languages, traditions, and histories of every South Asian American community.

Together, we are committed to fostering stronger connections, promoting civic engagement, encouraging cultural appreciation, empowering future leaders, and advancing the social and economic well-being of our communities. Through collaboration and mutual respect, we believe our diversity becomes our greatest strength.

This historic inaugural parade also reflects our collective commitment to the universal values of peace, harmony, inclusion, cultural understanding, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development. We hope this landmark event will inspire future generations to celebrate diversity, strengthen community bonds, and work together to build a more inclusive and prosperous future.

As we gather in the heart of New York City, let us celebrate our shared heritage, honor our cultural diversity, and reaffirm our commitment to building a stronger, more united South Asian American community—while continuing to make meaningful contributions to the success, prosperity, and future of the United States of America.

Together, let us move forward with unity, purpose, and pride.
